About Us

Why this common project in London?

We bring high-end veterinary care to the comfort of your home.

Veteris is a pack of highly qualified pet-loving veterinary surgeons providing a 24-7 complete emergency support for your pet: from the most efficient phone triage to the most technical emergency care in the stress-free comfort of your home.

What, indeed, would bring three veterinary surgeons to suddenly move and create a home emergency service like Veteris?

Simply put; common values and views of the world.

If one word was to reflect Adeline, Clara, and Louis, it would be: “international”.

Clara, Belgian-born acquired her heritage from a bit of everywhere in Europe as she displayed an early interest in foreign cultures. She learned to speak fluent English at fifteen watching her favourite Jane Austin BBC Tv mini-series. She pursued her master’s degree in Dutch, the only one in her class and the first French-speaking Belgian to do so. After only a year of working in Belgium as a veterinarian, she moved to yet another culture: Versailles, France.

Her veterinarian path, from the very beginning, inevitably led her to deal with emergencies at the hospitals. She worked for two years in referred hospitals where she dealt with all types of illnesses and accidents. Even as she settled for a calmer clinic in Versailles, she kept a foot in emergencies with a clinic in the center of Paris as well as with the home emergency services. She came to appreciate the home emergency services as the experience was quite different from her regular hospital job. It is during this last experience, that Clara met Louis.

Louis, French-born, shares Clara’s enthusiasm for international experience and emergencies. Louis worked in clinics where he obtained considerable experience in general medicine, several months of which were in the UK. During this time he discovered his passion for home emergency services which put to test his experience as a veterinarian. He found himself always ready to help as quickly and efficiently as he can, and always eager to further his knowledge in this field.

Apart from his keen interest in veterinary medicine, Louis also has the soul of an entrepreneur with a family dispersed in different countries. Veteris represents the meeting of all of these elements: a new project, a new country, a new challenge, and the cherry on top, in veterinary medicine, his passion.

Thus was born Veteris—a project that symbolised both Louis’ and Clara’s vision to broaden their horizons.

Adeline, always open to new opportunities, rode the wind and decided, from the very beginning, to join them both.

Adeline was born in Belgium to French parents. She moved around a lot with her parents in her young years, moving back and forth between France, Belgium, and the United States, finally ending up in Belgium where she attained her degree in veterinary medicine.

Adeline found herself drawn to the care of exotic pets and decided to specialize in helping rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, birds, and many more. To accomplish this dream she moved around France, acquiring knowledge on the way. However, she found that something was missing! She wanted to create her own enterprise and broaden her knowledge in other fields like managing a business.

Almost as a sign, during this time, Adeline heard about Veteris from Clara over a cup of tea. Without hesitation, she offered to be associated with the practice in London.

So, why London? Why the UK?

Brexit, the SARS-Covid-19, and the Channel formed the bridge between us and our project. Some might say we were going against the current. Funny enough, the Channel in our century is no longer a problem’ little did we know of the quarantine that was waiting ahead for us!

On the other hand, we viewed Brexit as a challenge that this change should not affect youth and creation in the future; Veteris is ready to prove this.

So what about the coronavirus?

Where one might see difficulty ahead, we saw a solution to a problem.

We are three veterinary surgeons who are ready to deal with crises: remaining available while protecting ourselves and dealing with emergencies.

For owners, who no longer know if they could have access to their veterinarians and their care, and have to brace themselves for the outside world in trying times, against necessary precautions.

For pets, lost in all of this, who in the midst of the crisis, have to wait for emergency services.

All of this can be easily avoided if we come to you, in the comfort and security of your home. No need to move your pet in times of stress, no need to worry about driving or taking a cab to the nearest hospital for advice or an opinion.

The idea of Veteris rose from the home veterinary experience in Paris during this crisis; the knowledge that we could maybe help pets and their owners beyond the boundaries of one country.

And finally, apart from all this, why London?

Well if you’re not taking into account Clara’s love for tea time, what Veteris has in common with Londoners is their love of pets and their eagerness to help them in times of need.
